How We Verify Prices and Claims

A claim gets published when we can point at where it came from. Each entry in a locals' guide ends with a "Source" line: a link to the venue, team, city, or operator page that states the fact, plus the date we checked it. Prices work the same way: every static price on the site shows the date it was last checked, and a number does not appear without one. Sources are official pages wherever they exist (venue parking pages, the city's parking authority, team sites), not other blogs.

The event listings are baked from official feeds by a repeatable script, not typed in by hand: the venues' own event calendars (Benchmark International Arena and the Yuengling Center publish theirs directly), team schedule APIs (ESPN's for Bucs and USF football, MLB's Stats API for the Rays), and Live Nation's calendar for the amphitheatre. When a feed marks a start time as undecided, the page shows TBA instead of inventing a time. The calendar is a dated snapshot, re-baked ahead of each new stretch of the season; anything marked TBA is worth confirming on the venue's own page.

Prices are re-checked when the event calendars are re-baked, before each new stretch of the season, and any time a reader flags a change. The date shown next to a price is the date someone actually checked it; we never bump a date without re-checking the number behind it. If a price has gone stale and we have not re-verified it, the honest move is to say so or take it down, not to leave an old number wearing a fresh date.

We hedge or we omit. The clearest example is the residential-yard entry on the Raymond James Stadium page: homeowners renting driveways on game days is a real, long-running practice, so the page says that; but we have not verified specific streets or typical prices well enough to publish them, so the page says that too, and tells you to treat yards as a fallback you negotiate on the spot. No entry pretends to a precision we do not have.

Partly, and here is exactly how. Research and drafting are AI-assisted: AI tools help gather sources, check pages, and draft copy. Every fact still has to survive the process above; nothing ships on an AI tool's say-so, and every claim traces to a cited source with a check date. A named human, Luke Albertson, reviews what is published and is accountable for it. AI is used here to keep a one-person site current, not to mass-produce pages.

Corrections are dated, not quietly edited. If a source itself has changed (a venue rewrites its parking page, a garage changes its posted rate), telling us is genuinely useful; a reader in a garage sees the rate board before any feed does.
